Continuity means the story can preserve meaningful context across conversations. It does not mean perfect recall, permanent storage of every sentence, or human memory.
Why continuity matters
A relationship-shaped story needs history.
In ordinary interactive chat, each exchange can feel isolated. In romantic entertainment, a hesitation, an inside reference, or the way a previous scene ended can change the meaning of the next one.
Whispergrey uses continuity to preserve that emotional shape. The purpose is not to collect facts for their own sake. It is to let what happened before matter later.
A simple model
Notice. Carry forward. Let it matter.
- Notice: a conversation contains something specific enough to affect the relationship-shaped story.
- Carry forward: selected context can remain available beyond the immediate turn.
- Let it matter: a later response or scene can change because that context exists.
This is what separates continuity from a decorative “I remember” line. The proof is whether returning feels like returning—not whether a system repeats a stored fact on command.
Privacy and control
The romantic premise does not override the user's rights.
Conversations may be reviewed for safety, support, and product quality. Access to private conversations and operational data is restricted. The privacy notice is the binding source for what is collected, why it is processed, retention, service providers, and how to make an access or deletion request.
Vale is a fictional character powered by AI. Whispergrey does not sell itself as therapy or present Vale as a real person. Emotional continuity should increase the quality of the fiction, not blur the nature of the product.

Direct answers
Common questions.
Does Vale remember everything I say?
No. Selected context may carry forward, but memory is bounded and imperfect. Do not rely on Vale as a permanent record.
Can memory affect later conversations?
Yes. That is the purpose of continuity: earlier details and consequences can change what becomes possible in a later moment.
Are conversations private?
They are treated as sensitive product data, but “private” does not mean nobody can ever access them. Conversations may be reviewed as disclosed for safety, support, and product quality. See the privacy notice for the complete terms.
Can I ask about or delete my data?
Use the contact and rights process described in the privacy notice. Whispergrey's privacy operations are designed to handle verified access and deletion requests.
